If you are building your Titans in Hero Wars: Dominion Era, the Tournament of the Elements is one of the most important weekly game modes to understand. It is a cross-server Titan tournament where players battle through stages, earn rewards, collect Elemental Tournament Coins, and compete for weekly ranking prizes.
This guide breaks down how the Tournament of the Elements works, when it resets, how battles are scored, and what rewards you should be looking for each week.
What Is the Tournament of the Elements?
The Tournament of the Elements is a weekly cross-server Titan competition found in Titan Valley. It becomes available once your account reaches team level 60.
Unlike regular Dungeon battles or Guild War Titan fights, this mode is built around progressing through stages and earning points based on how well your Titans perform. The stronger your Titan team becomes, the further you can push each week.
The event runs every week from Monday at 2:00 AM UTCÂ until Friday at 8:00 PM UTC.
How Tournament Points Work
Your main goal in the Tournament of the Elements is to earn Elemental Tournament Points.
You earn points by fighting enemy Titan teams. Your score is based on the result of the battle and how much health the enemy team has remaining at the end. The cleaner your victory, the better your results will be.
Each battle has two parts:
First, you attack the enemy team. You can retry this attack as many times as needed until you win. Winning your attack gives you 250 points.
Second, the enemy team automatically attacks your defense team. This part cannot be replayed. You can watch the battle or skip the recording, but the result is final. If your defense wins, you earn 50 points.
That means your defense team matters, even though most players focus mainly on their attack team.
How Stages Work
The Tournament of the Elements has eight stages.
Each stage contains enemy teams that must be defeated before you can move on to the next stage. As you progress, the opponents become stronger, and later stages become much more demanding.
The battle records reset every day at 2:00 AM UTC. After the daily reset, you start again from the first stage.
Once you have fully cleared a stage, you unlock the ability to raid that stage in the future. This is a big time-saver because you do not have to manually replay every battle once you have already proven you can clear that stage.
The eighth stage can be raided from the beginning, but if you are unhappy with the raid result, you can replay the battle manually to try for a better outcome.
Matchmaking and Titan Power
Tournament matchmaking is based on the power of your five strongest Titans. Totem power is also included in the matchmaking calculation.
This is important because you may sometimes see an opponent whose Titans look weaker than yours, but their Totem makes the total matchup much harder than expected. Do not judge the enemy team only by Titan levels or star ranks. Totems can completely change the difficulty of a fight.
Defense Team Tips
Before you begin attacking on a stage, you need to set a defense team.
You can change your defense team before making your first attack on that stage. After you attack, your defense is locked until you reach the next stage or until the next daily reset.
Because of this, do not rush into your first battle without checking your defense. A poor defense team can cost you points every day, especially if your Titans are strong enough to win attacks but your defense keeps falling short.
A good habit is to set your defense first, double-check your strongest Titan lineup, and then begin your attacks.
Elemental Lords and Elder Lords
The later stages are where the Tournament of the Elements becomes much more challenging.
On stage 7, players face the Water, Fire, and Earth Lords. Defeating these powerful opponents can reward special avatars, and beating all three can unlock an additional avatar frame.
On stage 8, players face the Elder Lords of all elements, including the Elder Dark Lord and Elder Light Lord. These are some of the toughest opponents in the mode, especially because their teams include powerful Totem Affinity Skills.
For many players, these late-stage enemies become long-term progression goals. If you cannot beat them yet, that is normal. Keep improving your Titan levels, skins, artifacts, and Totems, and your progress will improve over time.
Tournament of the Elements Rewards
The Tournament of the Elements gives several important Titan-related rewards.
The first major reward is Elemental Tournament Coins. These are earned by reaching specific point milestones each day and can be spent in the Elemental Tournament Shop.
The second important reward is Essence of the Elements, which is used to upgrade Titan artifacts. You earn this each time you win a battle.
There are also weekly ranking rewards based on your final position when the tournament ends. These rewards can include Elemental Tournament Certificates, gold, emeralds, and tournament cups depending on how high you place.
You can also complete daily quests connected to the Tournament of the Elements, such as winning battles in the mode. These quests reward Titan Artifact Spheres, making the tournament even more valuable for long-term Titan progression.
Hall of Fame and Weekly Rewards
The Hall of Fame is where you claim your weekly ranking rewards after the tournament ends.
The tournament ends every Friday at 8:00 PM UTC, but rewards are not automatically added to your account. You need to manually claim them from the Hall of Fame.
Players who place in the top 10,000 receive Tournament Cups:
1st place receives the Ultimate Champion Cup
2nd through 10th place receive Gold Cups
11th through 300th place receive Silver Cups
301st through 10,000th place receive Bronze Cups
Even if you are not competing for the very top ranks, it is still worth participating every week.
The daily rewards, Titan Artifact resources, and shop currency all add up over time.
Is Tournament of the Elements Worth Doing?
Yes. If you care about Titan progression, the Tournament of the Elements should be part of your weekly routine.
Even newer players who cannot clear all eight stages should still participate. Every battle win, every daily milestone, and every bit of Essence of the Elements helps your Titans grow stronger.
The biggest mistake is ignoring the mode because you cannot reach the final stages yet. Tournament of the Elements is not only for endgame players. It is also one of the ways you build toward stronger Titans over time.
Final Tips
Before starting each stage, make sure your defense team is set correctly.
Use your unlimited attack attempts to test different Titan lineups when needed.
Do not forget that Totem power affects matchmaking.
Claim your weekly rewards manually from the Hall of Fame after the tournament ends.
And most importantly, participate every week. The rewards may not always feel huge in a single day, but over weeks and months, Tournament of the Elements becomes a major source of Titan progress.
The Tournament of the Elements is one of the most valuable Titan modes in Hero Wars: Dominion Era. Learn the rhythm, push as far as your account allows, collect your rewards, and keep building stronger Titans for the next week.
