Totem Fusion is one of the most important—and most misunderstood—systems in Hero Wars Dominion Era. As you progress through Titan Valley and begin unlocking elemental spirit totems, you’ll eventually need to upgrade them with Elemental and Primal Totem Fusion Skills.
But with high resource costs, rare fragments, and multiple elements competing for your attention, knowing when and how to fuse your totems can dramatically impact your overall Titan power.
This guide breaks down everything you need to know about Totem Fusion in 2025, including fusion costs, recommended paths, common mistakes, and the most efficient upgrade strategies for both free-to-play and pay-to-win players.
What Is Totem Fusion in Hero Wars?
Every Totem will be able to hold THREE skills:
Basic Elemental Skill – the default skill your Totem already has.
Elemental Skill – an active skill that will allow the Totem to affect Titans during battle!
Primordial Skill – a passive skill that will affect only allied Titans and create powerful synergies between them, helping you tailor your Totem to different combat scenarios!
What are the Best Totem Fusion Skills?
Thanks to Fragator for some input here.

The Best Fire Totem Fusion Skills

The Best Water Totem Fusion Skills

Dual Totem Strategies
From Fragator:
One of the two totems will always activate before the other, based on your titans' position in the team.
Therefore we place active skills on the first totem to activate, and passive ones on the other.
Note that bonuses from two copies of the same skill do NOT stack. At best you will refresh the duration of the buff.
How to Guarantee the Correct Fusion Skills
NOTE: THIS IS THE LEAST EFFICIENT WAY TO DO IT, but cheapest up front.
1: Select any fusion skill and create it with only 10 catalysts, then equip it.
2: Select the DESIRED skill and create it with 90+ catalyst (any lower and it will have a chance to be random), then equip it.

The Most Efficient Way to Level Totem Fusion
The problem with the math from the HWHUB Blog Post is that we have to trust in the law of averages for it to work; and I believe HW has stacked rates against us.
This strategy is only for people who are serious about Hero Wars, and desire to be competitive at the highest levels. Free2Play players go back the way you came.
Select the Desired Fusion Skill and put in 100

There are 2 reasons for this strategy
Reason #1
It's easier to "Swap" skills at high levels, than it is to get the correct initial skill at a high level. Compare these 2 screenshots; the first image is a fresh skill with 100 catalysts, the second is converting a level 5 skill with 100 catalysts.

Reason #2:

Assuming you'll barely every get your desired result (Casino Fusion!) it's best to work towards Crystalized Might as quickly as possible. (3000 Catalysts spent)
Crystalized Might is a guaranteed totem fusion skill level up.
Spending a bunch of small amounts and hoping to get lucky will be less efficient in building towards that 3000.
Note: You should generally spend this immediately before using any further catalysts; however it's obviously best to use this on higher level skills (try to have a 4+ ready to upgrade)
