The 2026 Spring Rebirth event is here, and while it's a bit of a letdown for free-to-play players, it's not a terrible event by any means. It's mostly free stuff, so let's break it down.
Two Free Gifts Today
First and most importantly, if you're a Hero Wars Dominion Era player, there are two free gifts available right now. You have 500 energy to help with the event, plus five Easter keys and 10 soul crystals. These are available for a couple of days. If you're on Facebook, grab them from the Facebook page. If you're on web, check the Discord or the in-game news. Don't miss out on these.
The Easter Egg Mystery – A Nothing Burger
For those who have been following along with the Easter egg letter hunt, I have some news: it turned out to be a whole lot of nothing. No new hero teaser, no new pet, no new Titan element like we see coming to Hero Wars Mobile. Just a "good job, here's a reward" situation. Appreciate the gesture, but temper your expectations going in.
The Event Activity – Seven Tasks
The event itself is very small and straightforward. There are seven tasks in total. A couple of them require spending emeralds or buying things, with avatar frames as rewards at the bottom of certain tasks. One features Astra and Lucas with blue hair, which honestly looks pretty sharp, but it is what it is.
The activity revolves around collecting two types of event currency, plus some miscellaneous rewards along the way. Here's how you earn them:
Warm-Up - Start or join X adventures
Warm Encounters - Log in X times during a special event
Egg Thief - Spend X Emeralds
Spring Spirit - Get X VIP points
Acolyte of Light - Spend X : "Easter Key"
Solar Energy - Open X chests in the Tower
Spring Mood - Spend X Energy
How the Egg Opening Works
This is where a lot of players get confused. When you open eggs, you're hunting for grand prizes.
The three grand prizes are:
30 Chests of Super Titans (~1200 Emeralds) – contains five soul stones of your choice per chest, totaling 600 soul stones
10 Red Artifact Chests (~1800 Emeralds) – five artifacts of your choice
250 Chaos Particles (~1750 Emeralds)
Each grand prize is worth roughly 1,000 to 2,000 emeralds in raw value, which is decent but not exceptional.
Grand Prize Drop Rate
Now here's what I believe is happening behind the scenes, based on community math and comments from community managers. Every time you hit refresh on the egg board, the results are already predetermined. The game assigns each grand prize a position number out of the 32 total eggs on the board. It doesn't matter which eggs you open or in what order. As soon as you hit the egg that was assigned the grand prize, you get it. There's no strategy here. No hunting the corners, no hunting the middle. It's all already decided the moment you refresh.
I could be wrong — there's no way to verify this with 100% certainty — but this is the most likely explanation based on everything we know. Either way, the practical takeaway is the same: just open eggs, collect your prizes, and move on.
After getting a grand prize, you can choose to refresh the board and try for another, or keep opening until you've cleared them all. That part is entirely up to you.
The Easter Bundles
DO NOT BUY ANY OF THESE
There are Easter bundles available for purchase, including options for your guild. Honestly, based on the overall value of this event's rewards, I'd recommend against spending real money here. The grand prize value just isn't high enough to justify it.
Spring Rebirth Mysterious Island
The mysterious island for this event is pretty underwhelming. There are three locations and three major rewards:
20,000 emeralds
20 Eternal Seeds and 3 Flag Patterns
80 Catalysts
To collect every major reward, it costs 59 moves total.
Just to grab the 20,000 emeralds alone, you're looking at 41 moves, and along the way you'll pick up 40 red chests and six pattern chests.

Spring Rebirth Mysterious Island Recommendation
Don't spend your moves on this island right now. We're only a couple of days into the month, and the Lumra event coming later this month will almost certainly have its own mysterious island. There's also likely a third island to be added to this map before the month is out. Once we see what that looks like, it'll be easier to decide where to allocate moves. Save them for now.
Final Thoughts
This event has no season pass, no golden ticket, and no major extras beyond the Easter bundles. It's a simple, small event with some free rewards sprinkled in.
If you're free-to-play, this is not an event worth pouring resources into. Collect your free gifts, knock out the tasks, open your eggs, and hold onto your moves and resources for what's coming later this month.
