so just to confirm, if i log off from the game and log in back 12 hrs later, i will still get the 10050 emeralds (at lvl5 ) right?
The beehives build stacks. It could be they can build a stack per level as it was tested with a level 5 beehive. But at the very least you can safely sleep 8 hours.
Fun fact about the beehives, as they don't require an explorer move, You can just click on the beehive you want to level up and it will start the count down for rewards of the level it is.
So you don't need to spend any explorer moves to get to the beehives.
I make beehive level 5 as F2P!
I spend 20k Energy, summon/open chest for 1000 stones so i made beehive level 3
then i got lucky and got enough honey for level 4 and 5 (make sure to save 1500+3000 honey energy!!)

It sounds like some big assumptions are being made. It would be freakishly counter productive if a player spends the resources to upgrade a beehive only to lose his rewards because he's not coming back to harvest every 2/4/6 hours.... actually kind of a slap in the face. There is no indication that the hives 'cap' on how much they can store once a period expires. Guess we'll find out if upgrading hives turns into a big 'fuck you' from Nexters on having to choose sleep on a work week or phat, tasty loots
